PDFSimpli’s own support page says you can cancel in Account Settings → Plan and Payment → Cancel Plan, and ask for a refund by email within 30 days of your order. Here is the full process, plus what to do if it doesn’t work.
Cancel first
- Log in to your PDFSimpli account. If you can’t, use “Forgot” on the Member Login screen to reset your password.
- Open My Account → Account Settings.
- Scroll to Plan and Payment and click Cancel Plan. Follow the prompts to the end.
- Keep the cancellation confirmation email. PDFSimpli says you’ll receive one. If it doesn’t arrive, contact support and ask for written confirmation.
Cancelling stops future charges. It doesn’t refund charges already taken; that’s a separate request.
Then ask for a refund
PDFSimpli’s refund policy (as published on its support page) says:
- Requests go to support@pdfsimpli.com no later than 30 days after your order. They may extend this at their discretion.
- They aim to process requests within 1 to 2 business days.
- Any $1 card verification or authorization payment is fully refundable on request.
- They can’t refund money paid to third parties, such as affiliates.
Other contact options listed on that page: phone +1 844-898-1076 (US, 24/7) and live chat.
What to put in your email:
- The email address on the account
- The date and amount of each charge you want back
- That you’ve cancelled (attach the confirmation)
- A short reason, such as “I didn’t realise the $1 payment started a recurring subscription”
- A clear ask: “Please refund the charges listed above to my original payment method”
If the refund is refused
- Credit card: you can dispute a charge with your card issuer. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says to send a written billing error notice within 60 days after the charge appeared on your statement, and keep copies of everything. (CFPB guidance)
- PayPal or debit card: contact PayPal or your bank about their dispute process.
- Report it: you can file a report with the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov or with your state attorney general.
